Devanshi an aspiring lawyer reminisced about their first meeting in an interview,” I first met him at a Ranji Trophy match three years ago. I was there to cheer for my friends who were playing. My friends introduced me to him. We connected instantly,” she said. Soon the friendship turned into love and the rest is history.
A complete foodie, she enjoys vadapav, undhiyu, dalwada and khaman. “I introduced Gujarati food to Rudra and he loves it. Dhokla is his favourite,” she added.
The couple got married on December 1, 2012 at Ahmedabad in an intimate ceremony, inviting a handful of people. The wedding was attended by Singh’s close friends including Indian skipper MS Dhoni his wife Sakshi, Parthiv Patel and wife Avni, Irfan Pathan and Robin Uthappa.
RP Singh currently represents Uttar Pradesh in Domestic cricket and is part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was the part of 2007 ICC World Twenty20 winning team where he emerged as the second highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
