Cricketers, actors and industrialists have shown keen interest in promoting the game of football in India in recent times. The inception of Indian Super League (ISL) has revived interest in Indian football among the fans. Thanks to the dignitaries, who have taken the initiative to start promoting the game at grass-root level.
The above photograph by Getty images captured a moment where cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan are seen together in a conversation. The trio have excelled in their respective fields and are three of the most powerful men in India. Tendulkar is the co-owner of Kerala Blasters franchise and Amitabh’s son, Abhishek co-owns Chennaiyn FC in the ISL, whereas Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita is the founder of the league and chairperson of Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL). Their presence was witnessed at the inauguration of a youth football function in Mumbai on May 27, 2015.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Mukesh and Nita Ambani. The event also witnessed a 15-minute match in which 24 boys participated. They also granted the participants with budding talent scholarships to fulfil their dreams in football.

The event was also attended by several luminaries like John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor, Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Prasoon Joshi, cricketers Anil Kumble, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan.
