Cricket in the 1990s and most part of the 2000s wouldn’t have been the same had these two gentlemen — Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara hadn’t graced the game. For a long time, these two were considered to be the greatest batsmen in the world. While the right-hander Tendulkar is hailed as the most complete batsman ever, the left-handed Lara’s grace and elegance remains unmatched. Between these two they have almost 57,000 international runs.

Lara retired from the game in 2007, while Tendulkar recently retired in 2013. Over the years, both have enjoyed an intense rivalry and comparisons but now find themselves playing for the same team. It was a moment worth waiting for the cricket fans, as on Thursday, Tendulkar and Lara batted together.

The partnership was ended when Saqlain Mushtaq bowled Tendulkar for 33. Lara continued a little longer before he fell for 19. It came in a lost cause but nevertheless, Tendulkar and Lara batting together is a moment that’s deserves a frame.
