Sachin Tendulkar to KL Rahul: Indians to score the slowest centuries in IPL
1. Virat Kohli – 67 deliveries
The Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter scored a sensational century against the Rajasthan Royals in the 2024 season. Though it was quite an impressive knock, Kohli ended up facing a lot of deliveries which saw his side not even cross the 200-run mark as they finished their 20 overs on 183/3.
2. Manish Pandey – 67 deliveries
The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter scored a brilliant century against the Deccan Chargers in the 2009 season of IPL. Pandey did end up taking quite a lot of deliveries to reach the milestone, but carried his side to a fighting total of 170/4 which they later ended up successfully defending.

3. Sachin Tendulkar – 66 deliveries
The former Mumbai Indians batter scored a fabulous unbeaten century against the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 2011 season of IPL. Tendulkar did however end up spending a lot of deliveries in reaching the milestone which saw the Mumbai-based franchise finish their 20 overs on 182/2.
4. KL Rahul – 64 deliveries
The former Kings XI Punjab wicketkeeper-batter scored a superb unbeaten century against the Mumbai Indians in the 2019 season of IPL. Rahul did end up facing more than half the deliveries in the 20-over inning, carrying his side to a formidable total of 197/4. However, the opposition ended up achieving the target, handing the Punjab-based franchise a heavy defeat.
5. Ambati Rayudu – 62 deliveries
The former Chennai Super Kings batter scored a sensational unbeaten century against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 season of IPL. Though Rayudu did end up taking many deliveries to reach the milestone, he also guided the Chennai-based franchise to the target of 180 runs.
6. Prabhsimran Singh – 61 deliveries
The Punjab Kings batter played a blistering knock against the Delhi Capitals in the 2023 season of IPL. This was Prabhsimran’s maiden ton in the IPL and though he did end up taking a big number of deliveries to reach the milestone, his century carried the Punjab-based franchise to a fighting total of 167/7 in 20 overs.
7. Rohit Sharma – 61 deliveries
The Mumbai Indians batter scored a fine century against the Chennai Super Kings in the 2024 season of IPL. Rohit’s unbeaten knock of 105 runs included 11 boundaries and 5 sixes, however the impressive unbeaten hundred wasn’t able to guide the Mumbai-based franchise to achieving the 207-run target.
