Right-handed star batter Shreyas Iyer is leading Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. He scored 97 runs in 47 balls against Gujarat Titans, where PBKS won by 11 runs. He was given the POTM award for his match winning knock.

Mayank Agarwal

KL Rahul was to lead Punjab Kings in IPL 2021, but he did not play the clash against Delhi Capitals. Mayank Agarwal was the one to then lead the team. Mayank opened up with the bat as he got leadership duty, and won the POTM award.

Sanju Samson

India’s star wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is also included in the list. He has been playing for Rajasthan Royals for a long time. RR had announced Samson to be their captain for the first time during IPL 2021. Samson scored 119 runs against Punjab Kings, winning himself the POTM award.

Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer had taken Delhi Capitals’ (DC’s) captaincy midway through the IPL 2018. His first match as a captain was against KKR, where he scored 93 runs in just 93 runs. he was eventually given the POTM award.

Steve Smith

Australian superstar Steve Smith made his captaincy debut in IPL in 2017 for Rising Pune Supergiants. As the leader, Smith played against Mumbai Indians and explosively scored 84 runs in 54 balls. Pune had won the match by 7 wickets because of his knock, and he was the Man of the match.
