Standing at six feet seven, Steven Finn bowls at a threatening pace and his height helps him get the extra bounce. Brilliant in spells, Finn however hasn’t done justice to his immense talent and his career numbers doesn’t really tell a complete picture.
However Tuesday was different, Finn, at his threatening best picked up the first five-wicket haul in his One-Day International (ODI) career as England bowled out India for 153 in the third ODI of the ongoing tri-series in Brisbane.
Finn picked up the crucial wickets of Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Axar Patel, and finished with figures of 5 for 33 off his eight overs.
After losing the first ODI against Australia in Tri-series England made a fine comeback against by them at a low total of 153 during the third match at Gabba in Brisbane. Steven Finn played a very crucial in the match by taking 5 wickets for 33 runs in just 8 over.
England, who lost their first match to Australia, went on to win the match by nine wickets. Ian Bell and James Taylor both scored fifties, as England also secured the bonus point.
