Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to score a century in Indian Premier League (IPL) history at the age of 14 years. He scored 101 runs during Rajasthan’s clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 28.

With his 35-ball 100, Vaibhav Suryavanshi secured the record for second-fastest ton in the history of tournament. His spectacular performance was accompanied by 11 sixes and 7 fours.

Apart from his impressive performance, Vaibhav can not play for India even if he gets selected for T20 World Cup 2026, because he does not qualify for playing as per the ICC age criteria.

An ICC clause stated that if a player wants to represent a National Cricket Federation in an international match, they need to be aged 15 or more on the date of the squad submission.

As per his birthdate, Vaibhav Suryavanshi will not be over 15 years of age when the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 takes place in India during the early phase of the next year.
