Cricket fans throughout the world are in for great news as India’s superstar pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are going to return to cricket sooner than expected as both of them are most likely going to perform on home grounds before touring Australia for a 3-match ODI series.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are now only active in India’s One-Day formats- as they had retired from T20Is after India won the 2024 T20 World Cup and hung their boots from Test format right before the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Both of them last represented India in the Champions Trophy 2025 earlier this year.
Though the Indian side is going to have their next ODI assignment against Australia, beginning October 19 at the Optus Stadium in Perth, as per a report by Hindustan Times, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are most likely going to play for India A in a three match series against Australia A- set to be held at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

Both the superstar batters last appeared in competitive match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, and now they are going to play three matches in Kanpur which are going to be held on September 30, October 3 and October 5.
