Virat Kohli to Rishabh Pant: Players with IPL 2025 salary higher than Champions Trophy 2025 Prize Money

The ICC announced prize money for the winning team of the Champions Trophy 2025 to be Rs. 19.45 crore. However, there are individual players who have IPL salary of more than the prize of the entire tournament.

The ICC announced the prize money for the 2025 edition of Champions Trophy. The team which will win the tournament is going to be rewarded with 2.24 million UDS, which converts to Rs. 19.45 crore.

However, even after such a massive prize pool, there are a few players in the Indian Premier League (IPL) who have more salary per player for the 2025 season as compared to the prize money for Champions Trophy 2025.

4) Heinrich Klaasen

South Africa’s right-handed wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen was taken in by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the IPL 2025, where the franchise paid Rs. 23 crore to secure his services.

5) Virat Kohli

India’s former captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli and was taken by Royal Challengers Bengaluru, retained by the franchise ahead of the auctions for an amount of Rs. 21 crore.

6) Nicholas Pooran

West Indies’ great wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran is the last name in the list whose IPL 2025 salary is higher than Champions Trophy 2025 winning prize. Nicholas was retained by Lucknow Super Giants for an amount of Rs. 21 crore ahead of the auction.
