India vs South Africa (2002)

Virender Sehwag’s batting had won a lot of games for India, but his off-spin had to settle for less. This match was one of them, as his batting was the better part of the match.
Sehwag scored 59 balls in 58 balls, along with Yuvraj Singh, who scored 62 runs and pushed India to a total of 261 in 50 overs.

Harbhajan Singh later came in to work as South Africa was at 213 for four. Eventually, India won the match by 10 runs.

England vs West Indies (2004)

There were eaves of celebration at The Oval as England was looking in a position to win their first-ever ICC event. Shivnarine Chanderpaul departed from the ground at 147 for 8 as the team needed 81 to win and no specific batter remaining.

Whet came after that was one great low-order partnership under constant pressure as Courtney Brownie and Ian Bradshaw managed to grab the needed runs and secured the victory with just seven balls remaining.

Graeme Smith led the opposition with brilliance in his knock of 141, but even that could not do much, as James Anderson and Stuart Broad took three wickets each and England moved to knockout stages.

New Zealand vs Sri Lanka (2013)

The Black Caps were looking dominating as they were at 48 for one but losing Kane Williamson, Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill for a single run rocked the team significantly. The team got over the line with just one wicket remaining. The main role was of Nathan McCullum who scored 32 runs.

India vs Pakistan (2017)

A Champions Trophy final between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is always going to deliver lot of drama, and the final match in the 2017 edition was nothing less.

Pakistan team did wonder as they reached 338 for 4, with opener Fakhar Zaman scoring a massive score of 114. Mohammed Amir then destroyed the Indian top-order.

India were bowled out for 158, as Pakistan won their first Champions Trophy and completed their set of ICC events, having secured the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 1992 and ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2009.
