Who is Dilip Jajodia? Owner of the Dukes Ball that is a magnet to controversy in India-England series

Dilip Jajodia is the owner of the company that manufactures the Dukes balls. These balls have come under scrutiny for getting softer earlier than expected during the ongoing India vs England five match test series.

The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of England for a five-match test series. three matches are already completed and England is leading 2-1. The ball being used for the series is known as well known Dukes balls. Which is manufactured by Dilip Jajodia (British Cricket Balls Ltd)

The Ashes and a few others International cricket Tournaments have used the Dukes balls and the production of this ball has been going on for long time. Dilip Jajodia is the man behind these well-known balls- who operates the manufacturing of these cricketing balls.

Dukes ball has attracted a lot of criticism from both the Indian and the English sideduring their currently ongoing five-match Test series.The first complains were from Shubman Gill, who had expressed his disappointment in how easily the ball lost it’s hardness. As the match progressed, the English side also expressed the same query.

Dilip Jajodia comes from a Rajasthani family. his upbringing was great and he later shifted to England for studies. It was an addition that his father was already in the Business which supplied the uniforms of British Indian Army.

As per Wikipedia, Dilip’s company has an annual turnover of nearly 1.36 million USD (1180 Crore). Even though there is no clarity, media reports claim his estimated net worth to be Rs 150 crore (17.4 million USD)
