Indian regular skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is expected to be fit and play the second Test against Australia at Gabba, starting Wednesday.

Dhoni, who was suffering from a thumb injury, not only missed the warm-up matches, but also missed the first Test in Adelaide, despite the match being postponed.

In Dhoni’s absence, Virat Kohli led the side and gave the Australians a scare, as the visitors lost the thriller by 48 runs.
