Bollywood star Aamir Khan in an interview praised Sachin Tendulkar for his humility and modesty with which he has carried himself during his long and successful cricket career. He also reminisced about good old days on how he was impressed by Tendulkar's batsmanship when he first saw him bat during a net practice session in Brabourne Stadium back in 1989, before India's tour of Pakistan.  At that time Aamir was busy with shooting of his film Awal Number.

Aamir Khan believes Tendulkar is the 'symbol of our pride' and when he is batting at the crease, everyone feels secure. He said that it is sad Tendulkar is retiring from the game and added, Tendulkar was a unique cricketer and we won't see another cricketer like him.
