Aaron Finch (C)lbw b Kuldeep Yadav 93 99 10 3 93.94
31.5
K Yadav to A Finch, OUT! It has pitched in line, hitting in line and is hitting the middle stump! Kuldeep Yadav has provided what India wanted. The mammoth 193-run stand has been broken. Finch falls in the nervous 90s. This is flatter and around middle, it pitches and turns back in. Finch goes back to play it but is a little late in bringing his bat down. It hits the front pad. An appeal follows and the umpire agrees. Finch reviews after having a chat with his partner. Replays roll in and it shows the on-field call is the right one. Finch takes a review along with him but his partnership with Khawaja has laid the foundation for the visitors. However, India have not got an opening, can they pull this back?
Usman Khawajac Jasprit Bumrah b Mohammed Shami 104 113 11 1 92.04
38.3
M Shami to U Khawaja, OUT! Shami strikes! Khawaja departs soon after getting to his ton! The slower ball does the trick. Khawaja is slightly early into his shot. He ends up getting it off the inner half towards short mid-wicket where Bumrah takes an easy one. The dangerous and budding 46-run stand has come to an end and India need to keep taking wickets if they are to stem the run flow.
Glenn Maxwellrun out (Ravindra Jadeja) 47 31 3 3 151.61
41.6
K Yadav to S Marsh, OUT! Maxwell is short! The Big Show has been run out. The last thing Australia would have wanted. But what brilliance first from Jadeja and then from Dhoni. Especially on a day where India have been lackluster in the field. Kuldeep bowls it short and outside off, Marsh goes back and slaps it hard towards cover and sets off for a run, thinking there is at least a couple on offer. Jadeja though first dives to his right and stops it, not cleanly but he recovers well and fires the ball to the keeper. Dhoni nonchalantly flicks it onto the stumps and appeals. The umpire takes it upstairs and replays show that Maxwell has to take the long walk back. The crowd erupts and the Indians are ecstatic. Maxwell was striking the ball really well there. This can make a huge difference to the final total as now there are two new batsmen out in the middle. 9 did come from the over but an important wicket too.
Shaun Marshc Vijay Shankar b Kuldeep Yadav 7 12 0 0 58.33
43.2
K Yadav to S Marsh, OUT! Another one bites the dust and Australia are losing their way here! Marsh is the man who is walking back. He uses his feet but does not get to the pitch of the ball. He still goes ahead with the shot but does not get the elevation he would have liked. Ends up hitting it flat towards long on. Shankar there runs to his right and takes a neat catch.
Marcus Stoinisnot out 31 26 4 0 119.23
Peter Handscomblbw b Kuldeep Yadav 0 2 0 0 0
43.4
K Yadav to P Handscomb, OUT! Two in three balls for Yadav and all of a sudden, half the side is back in the hut for Australia. Third for Kuldeep. Handscomb bags a duck. From 258 for 2, Australia are now 263 for 5. The leg spinner outside off, it pitches and then turns back in. PH looks to flick but misses. It hits him on the front pad. An appeal follows and the umpire raises the finger. Can India now keep Australia under 300? Now then... Hawk Eye shows the ball to be going over the stumps. No reviews left though for the Aussies.

Shikhar Dhawanc Glenn Maxwell b Jhye Richardson 1 10 0 0 10
3.3
J Richardson to S Dhawan, OUT! GONE! Great catch and Maxwell makes it look so easy. On the fuller length again outside off. Dhawan reaches for it and cuts it. Cannot keep it down and the ball goes uppishly to Glenn at backward point. He moves to his right and takes it with two hands. An early loss for India and Dhawan's poor form continues. 9 balls without a run from Richardson.
Rohit Sharmalbw b Pat Cummins 14 14 2 1 100
4.3
Pat Cummins to R Sharma, OUT! Excellent review. No inside edge and Sharma has to walk back. Good length delivery on off, the ball comes in after pitching. Rohit looks to play across the line but misses to get hit on the pads. The Australian players are convinced they have got their man, The umpire does not feel so. Pat Cummins has a chat with his skipper and then Finch goes for the review. Ultra Edge does show a spike but it is of the ball hitting the pad. Hawk Eye rolls in and shows Sharma is caught plumb in front. India lose both their openers. Rohit has a shocked reaction as he feels he has edged it. Ultra Edge though feels different. India lost their review early in their bowling, Australia have used it to perfection here.
Virat Kohli (C)b Adam Zampa 123 95 16 1 129.47
37.3
A Zampa to V Kohli, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Zampa has the last laugh! He gets the man Australia desperately wanted. Zampa is pumped up. He has got all the three big wickets, first Dhoni, then Jadhav and now Kohli. Once again it is the full ball which does the trick for him. It lands on leg stump, Kohli looks to flick but misses. The ball kisses the leg pole. Kohli walks back after playing a brilliant innings but one feels, he takes the hopes of India chasing this down along with him. India need another 95 runs, however, there are now two all-rounders batting and only the bowlers to come. Australia right on top.
Ambati Rayudub Pat Cummins 2 8 0 0 25
6.2
Pat Cummins to A Rayudu, OUT! Peach. Absolute peach. Length delivery pitching on middle and off bowled at 143.1 kph. It hits the surface and moves away slightly later on. Rayudu is beaten all ends up as he looks to defend. The ball hits the off pole and Rayudu has to walk back. That ball was unplayable. India are in deep, deep trouble here. Another failure for Ambati at number 4. He has missed another opportunity to nail his spot in this squad. India three down in no time here.
MS Dhoni (W)b Adam Zampa 26 42 2 1 61.9
19.1
A Zampa to MS Dhoni, OUT! TIMBER! Pin-drop silence here. A wicket at the right time for Australia and at the wrong time for India. Just as the runs started to come for the hosts, Zampa gets the dangerous Dhoni. A very full delivery there by Zampa, almost a yorker. Dhoni with no foot movement looks to whip it but only manages to get an inside edge onto the stumps. The Australians are pumped up and India now in a deeper hole.
Kedar Jadhavlbw b Adam Zampa 26 39 3 0 66.67
31.4
A Zampa to K Jadhav, OUT! LBW! Stun silence here in Ranchi. Tossed up delivery on off, Jadhav looks to sweep but misses and gets hit right in front. Zampa thinks he has got his man and the umpire agrees with him and shows Jadhav the dreaded finger. A very unnecessary shot at this stage of the game. He thinks about the review for a minute but Kohli reckons he is a goner so Jadhav walks back. The 88-run stand has been broken and a crucial wicket for the Aussies as the partnership was looking dangerous. However, Virat Kohli is still out there so the game is definitely not over.
Vijay Shankarc Jhye Richardson b Nathan Lyon 32 30 4 0 106.67
42.6
N Lyon to V Shankar, OUT! Shankar holes out! India's possible last hope is walking back. He was well-set, striking the ball nicely but falls at the wrong time. Australia into the bowlers now. This is tossed up, around middle, Shankar goes for the slog sweep again. Hits it nicely but does not get the desired elevation. It goes towards the man at deep mid-wicket. Jhye Richardson there takes a good low catch. One though can question the shot as the runs needed per over was already hit in this one. However, Shankar must have thought another hit and the pressure would have eased big time. Had it come off, it would have been praised, it now has not and it is Australia's game to lose.
Ravindra Jadejac Glenn Maxwell b Jhye Richardson 24 31 0 1 77.42
47.1
J Richardson to R Jadeja, OUT! Surely the game is now done, right? The last recognized batsman walks back. It is the off cutter. There is no pace at all on that delivery. Jadeja looks to go over mid on but holes out to the fielder there. Maxwell takes it easily.
Kuldeep Yadavc Aaron Finch b Pat Cummins 10 16 1 0 62.5
48.2
Pat Cummins to K Yadav, OUT! In the air... taken! There goes the last man. Cummins takes it. It is his 3rd wicket of the game. Length ball on off, Kuldeep swings but only manages a top edge. It balloons towards Finch at mid off and he makes no mistake. All smiles in the Australian camp as they have WON BY 32 RUNS!
Mohammed Shamic Pat Cummins b Jhye Richardson 8 4 2 0 200
47.5
J Richardson to M Shami, OUT! The fun is over! Shami departs and Richardson gets his second. Short and outside off. Shami looks to slap it but it goes off the toe end towards Cummins who takes it. Australia a wicket away now from winning their first game of the ODI series.
