Tamim Iqballbw b Matt Henry 5 28 0 0 17.86
6.5
M Henry to T Iqbal, OUT! Umpire's call and Tamim has to walk back. He though does not take a review with him. Both the Kiwi new ball bowlers have struck now. However, Henry has got the big fish. The length was the key here, he has been getting it full from the last few deliveries and he gets the reward. This pitches on middle and it is just ahead of a good length. Comes back in. Tamim plants his front foot across and looks to flick, misses to get hit on the front pad. An appeal and the umpire agrees. Tamim reviews after a chat with his partner. Replays show that the on-field call is the right one. Both the openers back without making an impact and Bangladesh in trouble here.
Liton Dasc Lockie Ferguson b Trent Boult 1 4 0 0 25
3.1
T Boult to L Das, OUT! In the air... and what a catch! Lockie Ferguson has taken a brilliant catch. Liton Das departs on the very first ball he faces from Boult. Das uses his feet to cover the swing. Boult however drops it a little shorter than the length he was bowling in his first over. Das plays a nothing shot, he ends up chipping it over mid off. For a second he might have thought he would get away but Lockie Ferguson backtracks, keeps his eyes on the ball and takes it nicely. Never easy those. Another failure for Das and the Kiwis strike early.
Soumya Sarkarc Ross Taylor b Colin de Grandhomme 22 23 3 0 95.65
12.2
de Grandhomme to S Sarkar, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Finally Colin gets one right and he strikes. Excellent bowling change by Williamson and just as a partnership was building, it has been cut short. He angles this one across the batter and lands it full on off. Sarkar looks to drive but ends up playing inside the line. The ball takes the outside edge and goes to the man at widish second slip. Taylor there takes an easy catch. Sarkar walks back after getting a start and Bangladesh slip further.
Mushfiqur Rahim (W)b Lockie Ferguson 24 36 2 0 66.67
17.6
L Ferguson to M Rahim, OUT! TIMBERRR! Dragged it on. Good length delivery on off, Rahim looks to guide it away from the body but drags it back onto the stumps and gets bowled. The ball came back in sharply due to the inswing on this one. There was no feet movement by Rahim. He does not make most of his reprieve which he got. Lockie Ferguson finally gets his reward for some good bowling and he does not have to depend on the fielding this time. The visitors lose their fourth wicket.
Mohammad Mithunb Todd Astle 57 69 7 1 82.61
34.3
T Astle to M Mithun, OUT! Clever bowling! Attacks the stumps and bowls a slider on a slightly shorter length. Mithun after playing two balls on the front foot, rocks back to cut this one. The ball though skids through before he can bring the bat down to cut it. The stumps are disturbed and the 75-run partnership has been broken by the leggie. Second wicket for him. Mithun walks back after scoring a good knock of 57 but he will himself know that he had to continue for sometime more.
Mahmudullahc Tom Latham b Todd Astle 7 8 1 0 87.5
20.5
T Astle to Mahmudullah, OUT! Bangladesh are losing their way. Astle strikes in his first over, another inspired bowling change from Kane Williamson! A flatter one outside off and turning just a tad bit, Mahmudullah looks to run it down fine of the face of the bat but the ball was too close to the body for him to be playing that shot. He gets a fine tickle and it goes straight into Latham's gloves. Well done on holding on! Half of the side is back in the hut now.
Sabbir Rahmanc James Neesham b Lockie Ferguson 43 65 7 0 66.15
43.5
L Ferguson to S Rahman, OUT! Slowing down the pace does the trick! This is a huge wicket in the context, could make a difference of 15-20 runs to the final total. Ferguson who has been bowling over 145 kph so far has brought this one down by around 20 clicks and bowls this outside off. Sabbir is early into the drive, and through his shot by the time the ball arrived. It thus takes the outside half and flies towards point. The ball dips on the fielder but Neesham out there comes ahead and completes a good, low catch. Bangladesh in danger of not playing out their quota of 50 overs now.
Mehidy Hasanc Henry Nicholls b James Neesham 16 20 1 0 80
40.2
J Neesham to M Hasan, OUT! Neesham strikes! Mehidy Hasan goes. Short of a length delivery, Hasan comes down the track and looks to go over covers but gets a top edge. It goes to Henry Nicholls at point who takes a simple catch. The visitors lose their seventh wicket.
Mohammad Saifuddinb Lockie Ferguson 10 15 0 0 66.67
45.5
L Ferguson to M Saifuddin, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Bangladesh lose their ninth wicket. Full delivery on off, Saifuddin looks to flick but gets an inside edge and the ball rolls onto the stumps. This is good bowling from Lockie Ferguson. He gets his third wicket.
Mashrafe Mortaza (C)c Trent Boult b James Neesham 13 18 0 1 72.22
49.4
J Neesham to M Mortaza, OUT! Bangladesh have been bowled out! Neesham gets the last man. Mortaza moves across and looks to paddle but the ball is a little too full. He ends up hitting it uppishly towards short fine leg. Trent Boult there takes a good diving catch. BANGLADESH END WITH 226!

M Rahman to M Guptill, OUT! End of an outstanding innings from Martin Guptill. He brought his team on the brink of victory but will feel disappointed that he could not stay till the end. Rahman bowls a short of a length delivery, Guptill pulls it over square leg but does not get the timing on it. It goes to Liton Das who takes a good catch at deep square leg. The hosts need 39 runs in 127 balls.
Henry Nichollsc Liton Das b Mustafizur Rahman 14 23 2 0 60.87
7.4
M Rahman to H Nicholls, OUT! Mustafizur Rahman strikes. The bowling change does the trick. Much-needed breakthrough for Bangladesh. Short of a length delivery, Nicholls pulls it over square leg but finds Liton Das at deep square leg who takes a good catch. A good catch that, he had to keep one eye on the rope, does so perfectly and takes it inches ahead of it.
