Batting R B 4s 6s SR
Rohit Sharma (C)b Matt Henry 2 16 0 0 12.5
4.1
M Henry to R Sharma, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! What a ripper to get rid of the Indian captain. He though can be blamed for the lack of foot movement but take nothing away from the delivery. Henry goes fuller this time, it starts around middle and then begins to shape away late. Rohit with his feet rooted to the crease, looks to put bat on ball. He ends up playing inside the line, the ball whizzes past the outside edge and hits the off pole. Big wicket this and New Zealand strike early. Just the start they would have wanted. Back-to-back failures for Sharma.
Shikhar Dhawanc Matt Henry b Trent Boult 6 13 1 0 46.15
5.5
T Boult to S Dhawan,OUT! Gone! Boult strikes with a short ball. One apiece for the Kiwi opening bowlers now. It's outside off, Dhawan tries to play the upper cut probably but it flies in the air towards third man where the fielder is quite square and catches the ball safely. Matt Henry never looked like dropping that one. Both the openers once again back in the hut without doing much damage.
Shubman Gillc Mitchell Santner b Matt Henry 7 11 1 0 63.64
6.6
M Henry to S Gill, OUT! In the air... gone! Henry gets another and once again the Kiwis are all over the Indians. Henry lands it just behind a driving length outside off and this one too shapes away just a little. Gill looks to drive it on the up but is a touch early into the shot, maybe because the ball came slow off the surface. Also, he ends up playing the delivery away from his body. It does not hit the middle and lobs towards short cover. Santner there takes a good low catch. Another poor outing for the youngster and just like the last ODI, India are three down for nothing much on the board.
Ambati Rayuduc Colin Munro b Matt Henry 90 113 8 4 79.65
43.2
M Henry to A Rayudu, OUT! Henry strikes! He has the last laugh. No ton for Ambati Rayudu and he walks back in disgust. The slower one outside off by Henry. It is on a fuller length so Rayudu looks to go over covers. But his bat turns in his hands and he ends up slicing it towards the man in the deep. Munro there runs forward and takes a neat catch. An excellent knock from Rayudu comes to an end. He though will be disappointed as he misses out on a well-deserved ton. Another timely wicket for the Kiwis and that too of the set batsman. They have also put a full stop to the partnership which was becoming dangerous.
MS Dhoni (W)b Trent Boult 1 6 0 0 16.67
9.3
T Boult to MS Dhoni, OUT! Death rattle! MS Dhoni is on his way back to the pavilion and it's a body blow to India. Beaten for pace and movement. An inswinger around off at 143 kph, Dhoni maybe tried to take his pads away from the line and then block it. But his willow comes down late. The ball sneaks past his defense and breaks the stumps and a million of Indian hearts.
Vijay Shankarrun out (Colin Munro) 45 64 4 0 70.31
31.5
C Munro to V Shankar, OUT! RUN OUT! The last thing India would have wanted. That is probably the only way this 98-run stand could have been broken. Timely for New Zealand as the two were looking to up the ante now. Also, they will be delighted to see the back of Shankar as he was really playing well. A huge mix-up has brought about his downfall. Munro lands it on middle, Vijay pushes it towards mid on and wants a run. He sets off but then seeing Ambati Rayudu ball-watching, he stops. In the meantime, the fielder from short mid-wicket runs after the ball. Rayudu realizes late that Shankar wants a run and then goes for it. Shankar though had started returning towards his crease, after seeing Rayudu run towards him, he goes for the single. But it was too late. Yes, Neesham did miss his shy at the bowler's end but Munro collected the ball and then underarms it onto the stumps at his end. Shankar walks back dejected and India now have half their side back in the hut.
Kedar Jadhavb Matt Henry 34 45 3 0 75.56
45.2
M Henry to K Jadhav, OUT! Plays it on! Soft dismissal that! The slower one on off, Jadhav at first looks to dab it down to third man but then seeing the line he tries to work it on the leg side. Is done in by the lack of pace, gets an inside edge onto his pads and then onto the stumps. Henry gets his fourth and all four have been crucial wickets. This one also as the Kiwis are now into the lower-order. 250 looks a touch farfetched. All depends on Pandya now.
Hardik Pandyac Trent Boult b James Neesham 45 22 2 5 204.55
48.6
J Neesham to H Pandya, OUT! It is a legal delivery and Pandya has to walk back. He is dismissed off a full toss. Also a lot of credit has to be given to Boult as he has taken an absolute blinder. A full toss on the pads, Pandya swings but ends up getting a top edge in the square leg region. Boult at short fine leg runs towards the ball and takes it by stretching forward. Neesham, however, is asking him to throw it back as there is a doubt of it being a no ball. Boult does exactly that as the batters complete two. The umpire though has not signaled one as of now but Pandya is seen standing his ground. The umpires now come together and take it upstairs. Replays show the delivery is below waist height. End of a brilliant cameo by Pandya. He has provided the much-needed impetus to the innings.
Bhuvneshwar Kumarc Ross Taylor b Trent Boult 6 8 0 0 75
49.4
T Boult to B Kumar, OUT! Well caught by Ross Taylor! A fuller length delivery on off, Bhuvneshwar reaches out for it with the intention to go over covers. Hits it well but not well enough to take it over Taylor at the edge of the circle. Rosco goes down to grab it safely.
Mohammed Shamirun out (Trent Boult) 1 1 0 0 100
49.5
T Boult to Y Chahal, OUT! Run out! Full and on middle, Chahal pushes it back and Shami comes out of the crease in search of a run. Boult collects the ball and runs at his end to break the stumps. Shami has no way back. India are all out for 252!

Colin Munrob Mohammed Shami 24 19 2 1 126.32
9.1
M Shami to C Munro, OUT! Munro runs out of luck! Shami speeds in from 'round the wicket and serves a short and wide delivery outside off. Colin tries to slap it through the line with zero footwork and to his bad luck, it catches the inside edge and cannons onto the stumps. Second wicket for Shami and Munro's poor run of form continues. Got a start today but failed to convert it into a big score.
Henry Nichollsc Kedar Jadhav b Mohammed Shami 8 15 1 0 53.33
3.3
M Shami to H Nicholls, OUT! Wait on, did that bird flying right across the pitch put Henry off? Maybe, just maybe. A short delivery by Shami, angling in, Nicholls tries to pull but it hurries onto him and he mistimes it uppishly to wide mid on. Kedar Jadhav makes no mistake and Shami draws first blood. 235 needed off 279 balls.
Kane Williamson (C)c Shikhar Dhawan b Kedar Jadhav 39 73 3 0 53.42
25.4
K Jadhav to K Williamson, OUT! In the air... taken! Kedar Jadhav gets the big fish! Is this the game? We will have to wait and watch for that but it surely is a big moment in the game. The way the Indians are celebrating just shows how crucial this wicket is. Nothing great about the delivery. It is short and outside off. Williamson looks to pull, he does hit it well but it is not right off the middle. Now due to the lack of pace on the delivery, it is Williamson who has to generate all the power. He fails to do so and holes out as Dhawan takes it near the mid-wicket fence. End of a 67-run stand and Williamson departs 11 short of a half ton. 148 more needed.
Ross Taylorlbw b Hardik Pandya 1 4 0 0 25
10.2
H Pandya to R Taylor, OUT! LBW! Ross Taylor does not bother the scorers a lot and Hardik Pandya strikes in his very first over. Did it with the bat and now starts off brilliantly with the ball. Also, this is a huge wicket as Ross Taylor has been in excellent form. He though gets a very good delivery here. It is pitched on a length around off, jags back in sharply. Taylor does not account for the movement and fails to put bat on ball as he tries to flick. It strikes him on the pads, they appeal and the umpire raises his finger in no time. Taylor starts walking back, has a word with Williamson but it seems that the Kiwi skipper feels Rosco is a goner. Dear me, the replays show something which won't please New Zealand. Ball Tracker finds the ball to be going over the sticks. A chance to review missed. India though won't care and they are right on top now.
Tom Latham (W)lbw b Yuzvendra Chahal 37 49 3 0 75.51
28.3
Y Chahal to Tom Latham, OUT! Chahal has trapped Latham in front! A flighted delivery, landing around middle and leg, Latham tries to sweep but misses and is rapped on the pads. They appeal and the umpire agrees. Tom Latham walks up to his partner and has a chat but then decides not to take the DRS. A big breakthrough for India again and now two new batsmen are in the middle. 134 needed off 129 balls. Also, the replays now show it was a good decision not to review as the Hawk Eye reflects three reds.
James Neeshamrun out (MS Dhoni) 44 32 4 2 137.5
36.2
K Jadhav to J Neesham, OUT! Brilliance of Dhoni! Wow, take a bow, MSD! The danger man departs and India inch closer to 4-1! A flighted ball landing outside off and skidding back in. Neesham tries to sweep but misses and is hit on the pads. They appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Impact is outside off. The ball then deflects behind the stumps and James comes out of the crease having no idea where the ball is. Dhoni is quick to react to the situation. Immediately picks up the ball and flicks it onto the stumps. MS is running in celebration as the square leg umpire goes upstairs to check for the run out. The replays find the striker well short of the crease. Big blow to New Zealand's hope.
Colin de Grandhommelbw b Yuzvendra Chahal 11 8 2 0 137.5
30.6
Y Chahal to de Grandhomme, OUT! Chahal strikes again! Beautiful bowling by him. He has been flighting his deliveries but on this occasion, he bowls it a touch flatter. Also, it appears to be the flipper which has not been picked by de Grandhomme. He tries to draw forward in defense but misses the ball completely. Gets rapped on the pads, the Indians appeal and up goes the finger. Dead in front. Wasn't picking Chahal at all and eventually, Colin falls to the leggie.
Mitchell Santnerc Mohammed Shami b Hardik Pandya 22 37 0 0 59.46
43.1
H Pandya to M Santner, OUT! That is probably the final nail in the coffin. Santner stands there in disbelief. A tad unlucky he is, you can say. That was a boundary delivery. A half volley on leg stump. Santner flicks it fine, there is just one fielder there. Mohammed Shami takes it easily at short fine leg. India are a wicket away now.
Todd Astlelbw b Yuzvendra Chahal 10 16 1 0 62.5
40.5
Y Chahal to T Astle, OUT! Three reds and no. 8 goes down. Astle walks back and takes New Zealand's only review with him. The googly does the trick for Chahal and he strikes in his first over of a new spell. It pitches around off and it turns back in. Astle misses the sweep and it hits him on the pads. An appeal follows and the umpire raises the finger. Astle signals the 'T', more in hope though. Replays roll in and they show, Astle is stone-dead. India two wickets away while New Zealand need 59 from 55.

Trent Boultc Mohammed Shami b Bhuvneshwar Kumar 1 3 0 0 33.33
44.1
B Kumar to T Boult, OUT! All over! India win by 35 runs and take the series 4-1! Kumar bangs in a short delivery outside off, Boult throws his bat at it in an attempt to slap it through the line but it takes the top edge. The ball flies in the air and Shami takes a simple catch at third man. The players are shaking hands in the middle now.
