Aaron Finch (C)lbw b Mohammad Hasnain 39 42 5 1 92.86
12.1
M Hasnain to A Finch, OUT! FIRST ODI WICKET FOR MOHAMMAD HASNAIN! Big moment for the youngster. Captain Finch departs. A full length delivery on off, angling in for Finch who was looking it to work it towards the leg side. The ball hits his pads, a good appeal by the bowling team and the umpire raises his finger. Finch is happy to walk off, without even bothering to discuss with his partner regarding the review. Hawk Eye shows it was hitting the leg stump.
Usman Khawajalbw b Yasir Shah 62 78 6 0 79.49
28.1
Y Shah to U Khawaja,OUT! Yasir gets the big fish. Khawaja who was looking good has to walk back and this is not what Australia wanted. It is a flighted delivery on middle and off, Khawaja looks to sweep it across the line. He has done that nicely throught the innings but it is always a risky shot. He misses his sweep this time and gets hit on the pad. Yasir goes up in appeal and feels he has got his man. The umpire takes his time but the raises his finger. Khawaja has a chat with his partner regarding the referal they decide not to take it. Good decision as Hawk Eye later on show he was plumb in front.
Shaun Marshst Mohammad Rizwan b Imad Wasim 5 16 0 0 31.25
15.5
I Wasim to S Marsh, OUT! STUMPED! Gone by a mile. When the pitch begins to spin, Australians start looking clueless and that is exactly what is happening out there. Flighted outside off, just a bit wide, Marsh comes down the track but is nowere near the pitch of the ball. Looks to drive but misses. Easy stumping for Rizwan.
Peter Handscombc Haris Sohail b Imad Wasim 7 11 0 0 63.64
21.3
I Wasim to P Handscomb, OUT! Second wicket for the skipper and he has been rewarded for his good bowling. The ploy to keep a slip has worked here. Slower delivery on middle and leg, the ball spins slightly away after pitching. Handscomb looks to play it across the linbe but gets an inside edge onto his pads. The ball then lobs to the fielder at first slip. Haris Sohail there takes a dolly.
Marcus Stoinisb Yasir Shah 2 3 0 0 66.67
22.1
Y Shah to M Stoinis,OUT! Bowled! Two quick wickets for Pakistan. Just what the doctor ordered. It is a googly pitching on off, Stoinis does not read it and looks to play it on the off side. The ball goes right between the gates of his pad and bat and the ball goes onto hit the middle stump. Australia need someone to support Khawaja and build the innings from here now.
Glenn Maxwellrun out (Shan Masood) 98 82 9 3 119.51
49.2
M Hasnain to G Maxwell, OUT! Maxwell misses his century by 2 runs! Oh dear... that is sad for him but on the other hand, he deserves plenty of praise. Not many players in the world would let go of that prize of a century but Maxi has played for the team here. He drills this through the covers, but straight to the fielder. He charges back for the suicidal second and the throw from Masood is right at the stumps and Rizwan does the rest. The appeal is referred upstairs and replays show that Maxi is short by a few inches. The Australian supporters are shocked. So is Justin Langer. Now, he gets up and gives a standing ovation to the Big Show for a wonderful knock of 98 from 82 balls and also for not playing for that century. Of course, add those no balls and it becomes a different issue but right now, a look at the scorecard would suffice.
Alex Carey (W)c Haris Sohail b Mohammad Hasnain 55 67 3 0 82.09
49.6
M Hasnain to A Carey, OUT! Caught. A wicket on the final ball of the innings. Full and outside off, Carey looks to back away and clear mid off but unfortunately for him, he cannot clear the inner ring. Simple catch for Haris Sohail and the young Hasnain has done tremendously here. Just 5 runs from his final over and AUSTRALIA END ON 277/7.

N Coulter-Nile to S Masood, OUT! Bowled 'em! Masood departs! Dragged on to his stumps and he has not troubled the scorers. A length ball outside off, Shan pushes at it without any foot movement. He gets an inside edge due to the very slight inward movement off the surface and the ball goes on to knock back the middle stump. A dejected Masood walks off. Nothing going right for the hosts but it is the perfect start for the Aussies!
Abid Alic Aaron Finch b Adam Zampa 112 119 9 0 94.12
41.1
A Zampa to A Ali, OUT! Abid Ali has lost his focus and his wicket as well! A flighted ball from Zampa on middle and Abid looks to slog it without getting to the ball. He gets a top edge and the ball flies high to Aaron Finch at long on. He is not going to drop those. Huge applause from the crowd, the teammates, coaching staff as Abid makes his way out. That is the end of this exceptional 144-run stand though. Is this the opening for Australia or has the wicket come too late?
Haris Sohailc Glenn Maxwell b Nathan Lyon 25 43 1 0 58.14
16.3
N Lyon to H Sohail, OUT! Haris Sohail departs. A fuller delivery on off, Sohail looks for a drive and plays it with hard hands. The ball flies straight into the hand of Maxwell at covers. Lyon bowled this one applying a nice loop on it, as he was getting good purchase from this wicket. And he uses it to break this stand.
Mohammad Rizwan (W)c Peter Handscomb b Marcus Stoinis 104 102 9 1 101.96
49.2
M Stoinis to M Rizwan, OUT! Rizwan holes out and that surely is the final nail in the coffin for Pakistan! A fuller length ball on the pads and Mohammad Rizwan times it pretty well but in the air and finds Peter Handscomb at deep square leg. He takes it safely and there are wide glees on the faces of the Aussie fielders now! They will be breathing much easier. End of a good innings by Rizwan but that is still not enough at this stage for his team.
Umar Akmalb Nathan Coulter-Nile 7 9 0 0 77.78
43.1
N Coulter-Nile to U Akmal, OUT! Played on! Is there a twist in the tale? A length ball outside off, Umar Akmal wanted to slog this over mid-wicket but took his eyes off the ball. He swings but only gets an under edge which goes to disturb the middle stump. This is just what Pakistan would not have wanted. They need to take this deep and win it, cannot afford to give the visitors any space to come back in the game. 49 off 41 is the equation now.
Saad Alic Kane Richardson b Nathan Coulter-Nile 7 12 0 0 58.33
47.1
N Coulter-Nile to S Ali, OUT! Saad Ali holes out in the deep. A half-volley from Nathan Coulter-Nile from around the wicket, Saad looked to hit it over mid on but the bat turned in his hand and goes to Richardson at deep mid-wicket who takes a sitter. Excellent stuff this from Australia. They have put the pressure right back on Pakistan. 25 needed off 17 now. Going to be really a nerve-wracking finish here!
Imad Wasim (C)c Shaun Marsh b Kane Richardson 1 5 0 0 20
48.3
K Richardson to I Wasim, OUT! Huge wicket for Australia and Pakistan sink further! A short length ball on top of off stump, Wasim looks to hit it over covers but the ball gets big on him. It flies off the top half and goes to deep point where Shaun Marsh makes no mistake. Good catch under pressure. 21 off 9 is the equation now.
Yasir Shahnot out 3 3 0 0 100
Usman Khanc Peter Handscomb b Marcus Stoinis 6 2 0 1 300
49.5
M Stoinis to U Khan, OUT! That is the game! That surely is it! A shorter length slower ball on middle, Usman pulls it away hard but the deep square leg fielder takes a good catch. Handscomb is not dropping those and he makes sure that this game is over with a ball to be bowled unless it is a no ball or wide. Heart break for the hosts but such is the game and Australia were always in the game. Junaid Khan meanwhile, makes his way out to the middle.
