V Fernando to U Khawaja, OUT! Sri Lanka are off a great start here. Second wicket down already and it's of the solid Usman Khawaja. A poor shot, really. Maybe a lapse in concentration. Full and well outside off, swinging away, Khawaja plays well away from his body without any foot movement. It goes off the edge and flies to Kusal Mendis at second slip who takes a safe catch.

C Karunaratne to Labuschagne, OUT! Edged and gone! First wicket in Test cricket for debutant Chamika Karunaratne. This is an encouraging start for him and Sri Lanka. Australia in a spot of bother here. This is a good delivery. Chamika keeps it in the off stump channel, on a length, Labuschagne has no choice but to play at it. The ball moves away late, induces the edge and Dickwella behind takes an easy catch diving to his right.

V Fernando to Head, OUT! PLUMB! That's it. The partnership is finally broken. 308 runs added by these two. What a knock from Head. Came in at a tough time and steadied the ship. Fernando comes in from round the wicket and lands this on a length on middle and leg. Head misses his flick and gets rapped on his pads. Sri Lanka were jolted in the previous over with Karunaratne's injury, now they've lost Thirimanne. Lyon makes the opener play at this by landing it around off, on a driving length. It turns just enough as Thirimanne pokes at it. The ball goes off the edge and into Usman Khawaja's hands at first slip.

Starc to D Chandimal, OUT! Starc with a ripper of a delivery. Takes the Sri Lankan skipper by surprise with a short ball and all he can do is awkwardly fend at it and get a glove behind. Paine collects and appeals, the finger goes up and everyone celebrates. The left-armer was bowling in good rhythm, this delivery was just too good for Chandimal. The visitors are slowly losing their way.

Cummins to K Mendis, OUT! GONE! Absolute jaffa from Pat Cummins. What a delivery. What a delivery! Kusal Mendis was left with no chance to do anything about it. Dhananjaya has no clue and he is made to realize it by the Australians. The umpires go upstairs to check and the replays confirm he has hit the stumps with his bat.

M Labuschagne to Dickwella, OUT! The on-field call stays. Tossed up delivery on middle, Dickwella gets low to sweep but misses it and gets rapped on the front pad. Loud shout and the finger goes up. Dickwella signals the 'T' and takes it upstairs. Replays show that there is no bat or glove involved and the ball is clipping the top of the stumps. He isn't happy as he thought he got something on it, but Snicko barely showed any spike. Sri Lanka, however, don't lose the review. With that, it's LUNCH ON DAY 3!

It looked like it was falling short of the fielder at first slip but Mendis dives to his left from second slip and takes a good low catch. A big wicket for Sri Lanka, the centurion from the last innings has departed. Two quick wickets down now for the Aussies.

K Rajitha to Labuschagne, OUT! Edged and taken! Third wicket down for Australia, Rajitha gets his second. Behind a good length, outside off and shapes away late, Labuschagne feels for it and the edge is induced. It goes behind where Dickwella dives to his right and takes a decent catch.

Starc to D Karunaratne, OUT! Wonderful delivery. Great start for the Australians. Length delivery on middle and off, the ball jags back into the batsman. Karunaratne tries to drive it but the ball goes perfectly between his bat and pad and takes the bail on the leg stump. It is a big wicket for the Australians as he has a good record in the 3rd and 4th innings and was one of the better batsmen in the first innings for his side in this Test.

Cummins to Thirimanne, OUT! GONE! What a delivery from Pat Cummins. Took Thirimanne completely by surprise. Bangs it in short, on middle, comes at just under 140 clicks, Thirimanne awkwardly tries to fend it away but it comes off the splice. Lobs just ahead of him but the bowler is alert to it. He rushes to the ball and dives to take a wonderful catch. Sri Lanka lose another wicket.

M Starc to Chandimal, OUT! Starc gets his second of the day. Length delivery on off, the ball swings away from the batsman after pitching. Chandimal looks to defend it but gets done in by the late swing and it finds the thick outside edge of his bat. The ball goes towards third slip and Marnus Labuschagne there takes a very good low catch. The umpire isn't sure if it's a clean catch, so takes it's upstairs. The replays confirm he caught that clean and the Lankan skipper walks back. First real threat ball to Dinesh Chandimal and he falls into the trap.

M Starc to Dickwella, OUT! Third of the day for Starc. Has some luck with this one but he's done well to maintain that tight line. Length delivery on off, it is bowled at 142 clicks. It is fast and straight and keeps low as well. Dickwella looks to defend but the low bounce beats him and it hits middle and off. A decent start from the Lankan wicket-keeper batsman comes to an end. His promotion up the order hasn't worked.

M Labuschagne to Mendis, OUT! Finally... Australia break this partnership. It's been a gritty and patient knock from Mendis, but it's come to an end. Flighted delivery outside off, Mendis drives it uppishly and it goes at a rapid pace to the fielder at short cover. Kurtis Patterson there takes a good reflex catch. Good captaincy by Tim Paine, great field placement.

M Starc to Perera, OUT! Two in two for Starc. Full outside off and a bit of inward movement, Perera looks to drive it with minimal foot movement, but gets beaten by the inward movement and it takes the inside edge. Tim Paine takes a good low catch. Perera's return to the crease is extremely short lived and maybe yesterday's concussion has had a bit of impact on him. Half the Sri Lankan side sent back. Starc on a hat-trick. Can he get it?

J Richardson to Silva, OUT! Sri Lanka lose their sixth wicket. Good length delivery on middle, there is a hint of reverse swing in this one as well.
