Jason Royc Josh Hazlewood b Andrew Tye 49 46 7 1 106.52
11.3
A Tye to J Roy, OUT! Jason Roy doesn't make most of the reprieve that he got earlier. The change of pace does him in here. More than that, it's the knuckle ball that has done him in. Bowled around off, Roy looks to go over the top, down the ground to get to a half century. With the murderous mood that he is in, he doesn't think twice. Goes for the shot but ends up skying it high. Hazlewood runs back a couple of steps from mid on and takes it comfortably. The 71-run stand comes to an end as Roy falls one short of fifty.
Jonny Bairstowb Mitchell Starc 44 48 4 2 91.67
19.1
M Starc to J Bairstow, OUT! Timber! Starc has his man but no real celebrations from him. Length ball around off and angling away. Bairstow is not sure whether to play it or to leave it. Hangs his bat out and that's that. The ball takes the inner edge and clatters the leg stick. Earlier in the day, he got a boundary in a similar way and the ball had gone just past the leg pole then. Another England opener fails to convert his start today. Is it some kind of pattern that will be on show today? Timely wicket for the Aussies, though.
Alex Halesc Glenn Maxwell b Mitchell Marsh 35 47 3 1 74.47
26.1
M Marsh to A Hales, OUT! A very unfortunate dismissal here! A short ball by Marsh on middle, it skids off the surface and gets big on Hales. He goes for the pull but gets a top edge onto his helmet and the ball lobs towards Maxwell at point who runs backwards and takes an easy catch. A timely wicket as this partnership was starting to look dangerous. Another England batsman walks back after getting off to a start.
Joe Rootc David Warner b Andrew Tye 62 68 2 0 91.18
47.1
A Tye to Joe Root, OUT! Four-fer for Tye! The run out chance has not cost them a lot. Andrew once again bowls the slower one, like he has done to take the previous three. Fuller again. Root tries to hit it over the fence but only manages to hit it towards long on where Warner takes an easy catch. Root departs after playing another decent innings but he falls just as England needed him to accelerate.
Eoin Morgan (C)c Marcus Stoinis b Mitchell Marsh 3 10 0 0 30
28.3
M Marsh to E Morgan, OUT! Another one bites the dust! The short ball once again does the trick for Marsh. Completely needless from Morgan there. He comes down the track early and seeing that Marsh bowls a bumper outside off this time. Eoin still goes for a cut but ends up skying it towards sweeper cover. Stoinis there comes running in, positions himself under it and takes it. Two quick wickets for Australia and England are in a spot of bother here. Also replays later on show, the Aussies forced an error from Morgan as they cramped him for room and hence, the batter could not free his arms to play that shot.
Jos Buttler (W)c David Warner b Andrew Tye 21 25 1 1 84
34.6
A Tye to Jos Buttler, OUT! Tye has the last laugh! A similar shot to which Roy got out. Once again the slower ball does the trick. He bowls it full on off, Buttler once again tries to go big but ends up slicing it high up in the air towards mid off. David Warner there backtracks and takes it with a reverse cup. Another English batsman throws it away. After a maximum of the first ball this was needless. Australia will be relived to see the back of the dangerous Buttler and they are now on top.
Moeen Alic Andrew Tye b Adam Zampa 6 12 0 0 50
39.4
A Zampa to M Ali, OUT! The English batters seem to be in a hurry to get out today! Moeen Ali is walking back now. He wanted to take on Zampa but the leg spinner gets the better of him. He comes down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and tries to clear long off. He does not get the desired elevation and holes out to Tye there.
Adil Rashidrun out (Steven Smith) 12 16 1 0 75
43.5
A Tye to A Rashid, OUT! RUN OUT! Not what England wanted! Brilliant by Smith! Rashid taps the length ball towards point and hesitates before taking off for a run. Smith there is quick to it and hits bull's eye at the non-striker's end. Rashid seems to be struggling and they go upstairs to check. Replays show that Rashid is just short and is given his marching orders.
David Willeyc Mitchell Marsh b Andrew Tye 2 6 0 0 33.33
45.4
A Tye to D Willey, OUT! Tye gets his third! He has bowled brilliantly and Mitchell Marsh has made this skier look very easy! Tye once again bowls a slower ball on middle, Willey tries to go big but is early into the shot. He only manages to hit it high up in the air towards mid-wicket. Marsh there runs back and takes a tumbling catch. All smiles on the Australian faces as they now have a chance to bowl England out here.
Tom Currannot out 11 7 0 1 157.14
Jake Ballb Andrew Tye 0 2 0 0 0
47.4
A Tye to J Ball, OUT! Five-fer for Tye, his first in ODIs! He has been brilliant with those slower ones and picked all his wickets with it. Andrew again bowls it full and it is a slower ball. Ball is completely foxed by the knuckle ball as he tries to keep it out. He plays down the wrong line and the ball hits the off pole. Tye is all pumped up as he finishes with career best figures and ENGLAND HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 259!

David Warnerb Tom Curran 15 11 2 0 136.36
3.2
Tom Curran to D Warner, OUT! Knocks him over! Curran has the last laugh. He should have had Head in the last over but has Warner now. What a delivery there by the youngster! He comes steaming in and bowls a yorker, an excellent one on middle, Warner is late to get his bat down as he was not expecting it. The ball sneaks through and hits the middle of middle. He bags another failure and the English players are up and running as they get an early wicket.
Travis Headrun out (Eoin Morgan) 22 30 2 0 73.33
13.6
J Ball to M Stoinis, OUT! Surprise, surprise! Head has his bat on the line! Is this the luck England needed? Stoinis drops the length ball on off towards point and sets off for a run. Head obliges as he tries to make it to the other end. Morgan at covers, picks the ball up and scores a direct hit and the ball deflects down towards fine leg. The batsmen go for an overthrow. There might be a muted appeal by the English players as the umpire has gone upstairs. Replays roll in and guess what? Head is a goner. A much-needed wicket for England as they have broken the 62-run stand. Can they now build on this? Australia need 174 more.
Marcus Stoinisc Tom Curran b Adil Rashid 87 99 6 4 87.88
33.6
A Rashid to M Stoinis, OUT! Adil Rashid provides England the breakthrough. How many times have we seen this in the last five games? This is his 10th wicket in this series. Floats it up around off, Stoinis charges down and takes it on the full. But what he doesn't want to happen yet it happens, is that he hits it to long on. Curran is stationed there and he moves swiftly to his left and takes a low tumbling catch. The elation on England players' faces says it all. To be fair to Marcus, the shot was on but the execution part is where he faltered. He falls 13 short of his ton, the hosts are still 71 away.
Steven Smith (C)st Jos Buttler b Moeen Ali 12 23 0 0 52.17
21.4
M Ali to S Smith, OUT! Wicket no. 199 in international cricket for Moeen Ali and it is a big scalp. The Australian skipper departs cheaply. His poor form in ODIs continues. Ali bowls a flatter ball which does not turn and goes on with the arm outside off. Smith walks down to play for the non existing turn and gets beaten. He is a long way down the track and Buttler behind the stumps, collects it and whips the bails off. Third one down for Australia and England are trying to fight back.
Mitchell Marshc & b Moeen Ali 13 11 2 0 118.18
23.5
M Ali to M Marsh, OUT! What a catch! Moeen Ali you beauty! This is very similar to the Jofra Archer catch to dismiss Ben Cutting in a BBL game. Woah! Ali tosses it up on middle, Marsh has hit it back towards the bowler with all his might but does not keep it down. Ali reaches out for it with his right hand and it has stuck in his fingers. Marsh can't believe it as he would have thought it is a boundary after he hit it. Even the umpire must have felt the same as he too, was ducking for cover. Nevertheless, Moeen gets his second in quick succession, which is also his 200th in international cricket. England are right back in this. 127 needed more off 157 with 6 wickets in hand.
Glenn Maxwelllbw b Tom Curran 34 39 3 1 87.18
36.1
Tom Curran to G Maxwell, OUT! Big moment in the game! If you ever thought that this game was over at the halfway stage or even when Maxwell was going hammer and tongs, do not feel proud, as you've read the game wrong. This is an inspired bowling change and it has borne fruits for Morgan and England immediately. Curran runs in from over the wicket and lands it on a length and gets it to nip back in. Glenn looks to go downtown but misses it. The ball hits his back pad and goes towards the keeper, who dives to stop it while appealing simultaneously. On not getting the umpire's nod, DRS is taken by England. Snicko shows that there is no inside edge and Hawk Eye hits the hammer on the head by returning three reds. Australia in trouble is a very soothing way to state their position in the game at the moment.
Tim Paine (W)b Tom Curran 34 44 2 1 77.27
48.2
Tom Curran to Tim Paine, OUT! Tom Curran's maiden five-fer in ODIs inspires England to a win at the Optus Stadium in Perth! Spears it full and straight in line of the stumps. 'You miss and I hit' says Tom, as Paine looks to get his front foot out of the way and smash it down the ground. Misses the ball owing to the swing inwards and ends up losing the sticks behind. ENGLAND WIN THIS GAME BY 12 RUNS AND TAKE THE SERIES 4-1!
Mitchell Starcc Jos Buttler b Tom Curran 0 2 0 0 0
36.3
Tom Curran to M Starc, OUT! Tom Curran looks like a train on fire! He's steaming in and running away with wickets. Delivers this full in length and gets it to swing away. Starc has to play at that and all he manages is a thick outside edge. Buttler dives full length to his left and takes it with both hands in front of first slip. Too good a delivery for a top order batter, leave alone for a lower order one. Woah! This something-teen-overs ball is swinging big time. Australia are 68 runs away and have just 3 more wickets in hand.
Andrew Tyec Eoin Morgan b Moeen Ali 8 11 1 0 72.73
39.2
M Ali to A Tye, OUT! The end is nigh! Flatter on off, Tye goes back to work it to the on side but gets a leading edge. The ball lobs straight to Morgan at covers for the easiest of catches. The joy on the visitors' faces has a tale to tell. Tye knew it as soon as he hit it that he was a goner and began his walk back before even Eoin pouched that.
Adam Zampab Tom Curran 11 17 1 0 64.71
46.3
Tom Curran to A Zampa, OUT! CASTLED! Curran runs in and lands it on a length in line of the stumps. Zampa makes room to hit it but fails to make any contact. The ball does what it was released to do, knocks out the middle stump. Tom has his hands apart and is running and leaping in celebration while Zampa is down in disgust. 24 more needed in 21 with only 1 wicket in hand.
