Shadman Islamlbw b Devendra Bishoo 76 199 6 0 38.19
58.5
D Bishoo to Islam, OUT! Oh dear, Shadman is out of here! Bishoo strikes again and this was a good delivery by him. He tosses it up in the air and lands it full around off. It spins back in sharply after kissing the deck and Shadman, unfortunately, plays down the wrong line as he presses forward in defense. The ball meets the pads, they appeal and the finger goes up almost immediately. The debutant knows he is gone for all money and doesn't even bother to think of a referral. So much maturity. Well done, young man. A fine knock as well, calm and composed. A century would have been an icing on the cake. Still got a record for facing the most number of balls by a Bangladeshi debutant while opening in the first innings (199).
Soumya Sarkarc Shai Hope b Roston Chase 19 42 0 0 45.24
15.3
R Chase to S Sarkar, OUT! First breakthrough for Windies and it's Roston Chase who has provided it. He was getting good spin and bounce from the surface and utilizes it to his advantage this time. He bowls a loopy one outside off, Sarkar is lured into the drive but it curls away with extra lift to catch the shoulder of the bat. A simple take for Shai Hope at first slip who jumps to pouch it easily. A good looking partnership is brought to an abrupt end and Bangladesh's opening woes continue.
Mominul Haquec Roston Chase b Kemar Roach 29 46 2 0 63.04
33.5
K Roach to Haque, OUT! A soft dismissal really. Windies are delighted. Roach is roaring. They certainly know the value of this wicket. Mominul is absolutely gutted with himself. A cross-seam delivery, it's bowled on the shorter side outside off and Mominul tries to play the horizontal bat shot but is not entirely on top of the ball. He ends up miscuing it completely in the air towards mid on where Roston Chase makes no mistake. Beaten for pace, probably. Lunch will smell and taste better for the visitors now. They are all heading off the park for a 40-minute break.
Mohammad Mithunb Devendra Bishoo 29 61 0 0 47.54
56.1
D Bishoo to M Mithun, OUT! Bowled 'em! That's three in a row for Bishoo against Mithun. To be honest, it wasn't a wicket-taking delivery. The leggie drops it short and in the line of the stumps. It skids through after landing as Mithun goes back to pull it across the line. Maybe, he misread the length and was also early into the shot. Fails to make any connection and the stumps are shattered. Finally, a success for Windies in this session as they break the 64-run stand. Can they pick more before Tea?
Shakib Al Hasan (C)c Shai Hope b Kemar Roach 80 139 6 0 57.55
96.5
K Roach to Al Hasan, OUT! Shakib has to depart. He was really in the mood this morning but one shot too many has caused his downfall. It's bowled on a good length outside off, Shakib goes for a drive but gets a fat outside edge towards gully. Hope is stationed there and it goes straight to him. Not much celebration from the Windies. But deep inside they know this is a very important wicket. Roach gets his wicket for some brilliant bowling today. Can the visitors wrap things up quickly now?
Mushfiqur Rahim (W)b Sherman Lewis 14 24 0 0 58.33
67.3
S Lewis to Rahim, OUT! Right through the gate! It's a beauty by Sherman to dismiss Rahim. He spears in a full delivery around off and gets it to tail back in a bit. Rahim tries his best to play with a straight bat but his front foot goes nowhere near to the pitch of the ball. As a result, it whizzes past the inside half of his bat and disturbs the timber. Sherman is ecstatic, he has bagged the prized scalp. A distraught Rahim returns. Windies continue to chip away at the wickets.
Mahmudullahb Jomel Warrican 136 242 10 0 56.2
153.6
J Warrican to Mahmudullah, OUT! End of the misery for Windies! A nicely tossed up ball on middle, Mahmudullah tries playing it straight but it spins past the outside edge of his bat and disturbs the off pole. End of a fine knock by Mahmudullah and BANGLADESH ARE ALL OUT FOR 508!
Liton Dasb Kraigg Brathwaite 54 62 8 1 87.1
118.1
Brathwaite to L Das, OUT! Bowled 'em! Against the run of play again! Brathwaite comes in from around the wicket and lands it full around leg. A quicker one too at 92.5 kph. Liton premeditates a reverse sweep but the line of the delivery proved to be his undoing. He fails to make any connection and it goes under his bat to meet the leg stump. An unnecessary shot attempted by Liton, especially when he was doing so good with the conventional ones. Kraigg is all smiles.
Mehidy Hasanc Shane Dowrich b Jomel Warrican 18 26 2 0 69.23
123.5
J Warrican to Hasan, OUT! There is some spike! Windies get lucky with this wicket. There wasn't much excitement shown in the appeal and after knowing the third umpire's verdict, Jomel Warrican has a relieved smile on his face. A nicely tossed up delivery outside off, enticing the batsman to go for a drive. Mehidy commits himself into the shot but is beaten as the ball spins away past his bat. Dowrich collects the ball and lets out a muted appeal initially. Then, they go for the DRS more as an afterthought. The replays roll in and they show that it has taken a faint outside edge. For a moment, we thought it was due to the bottom of the bat brushing the surface but the other angle confirmed that the spike was generated due to the outside edge. A terrific review in the end. First success for Warrican, Windies claim the eighth wicket but it's Bangladesh in the driver's seat.
Taijul Islamc Shane Dowrich b Kraigg Brathwaite 26 58 3 0 44.83
144.4
K Brathwaite to Islam, OUT! Gone this time! Brathwaite gets his second wicket. A harmless delivery, a touch flatter and served outside off, Taijul spots the opportunity to play a cracking drive through covers but ends up edging it behind. Dowrich makes no mistake this time, they appeal and the finger has gone up. After that, the umpire checks for the no ball but Kraigg is fine with his landing. End of an excellent partnership and Taijul truly entertained with his stroke play.

Kraigg Brathwaite (C)b Shakib Al Hasan 0 6 0 0 0
0.6
Al Hasan to Brathwaite, OUT! Bowled 'em! Shakib Al Hasan, you beauty! Was good with the bat and now even better with the ball. Gets the previous one to spin away and this one skids back in. Arm ball around off, Brathwaite doesn't read it and comes forward to drive it through the line. Leaves a big gap between bat and pad and the ball sneaks through to destroy the stumps. Shakib gets the better of his counterpart and Bangladesh are roaring, already!
Kieran Powellb Mehidy Hasan 4 15 0 0 26.67
5.3
Hasan to K Powell, OUT! Bowled 'em! This time it is Mehidy Hasan! Bangladesh are on a roll. Arm ball landing on off and it keeps a bit low. A similar mistake like Kraigg as Kieran too leaves some space between bat and pad. The ball goes through the gap and onto the stumps as Powell tries to push it to the off side. The stumps are broken and Mehidy joins the party. Remember, Powell had hit twin centuries in a Test match in Mirpur. Bangladesh will be more than happy to see his back.
Shai Hopeb Mehidy Hasan 10 30 1 0 33.33
11.6
M Hasan to S Hope, OUT! Tell you what, Windies have lost half their side inside 12 overs. Boy oh boy! What an exhibition of spin bowling! Tossed up ball around off, Hope rocks back to play at this. To his dismay, the ball keeps really low. He tries getting his bat down but it's too late. The ball goes under his bat and meets the stumps. Nothing much you can do as a batsman. Windies in real trouble. Half the side back in the hut, all the batsmen bowled, this must be some kind of a record.
Sunil Ambrisb Shakib Al Hasan 7 12 1 0 58.33
8.6
Hasan to S Ambris, OUT! 3 in 3. All falling to spinners. Shakib leading the way. The idea was right from Ambris but not the execution as he got fooled by the variation. Shakib flights this on off, Sunil comes down the track and looks to go big over covers. Plays for the turn but the ball doesn't spin. Goes straight and hits the stumps at the back. Bangladesh all over the Windies. How many can they pick up today?
Roston Chaseb Mehidy Hasan 0 1 0 0 0
9.3
M Hasan to R Chase, OUT! Another one bites the dust! Four down now are the Windies and one of the better players of spin in their team walks back without opening his account. Another batsman playing for the turn loses his timber. Hasan floats this one on off, the ball doesn't spin back in much and that brings Roston's downfall. He has his bat closer to the front pad in anticipation but the ball never arrives. Instead, it takes a route which beats the outside edge of his bat and shatters the stumps. 4 wickets for Bangladesh, two apiece for the spinners and all bowled.
Shimron Hetmyerc & b Mehidy Hasan 39 53 3 1 73.58
27.3
Hasan to Hetmyer, OUT! Forget the last ball, Hetmyer is gone this time. Mehidy has his man. First delivery was an off spinner which took the outside half of Hetmyer's bat. Then, it was a slider hitting the pads. And now again an off spinner which has dismissed Shimron. It's served in the line of the middle stump and spins away after landing. Hetmyer tries hitting it across the line through mid-wicket but doesn't account for the away spin. It catches the leading half of the bat and lobs back in the direction of the bowler. Mehidy immediately goes down low in his followthrough and catches it inches above the surface. Early blow for Windies. Follow-on looming large.
Shane Dowrich (W)lbw b Mehidy Hasan 37 75 3 0 49.33
35.4
M Hasan to Dowrich, OUT! Dowrich goes and that's the last hope for Windies. Arm ball on off, it comes back into Dowrich who looks to work it away. Gets beaten as he played for the spin and the ball goes on to hit his back leg. Bangladesh put in an appeal and the umpire raises his finger. Dowrich without any doubt takes the review. Replays show us that it would be clipping the leg pole. So the on-field call stays. Windies retain their review but they would have wanted Dowrich more. A gritty innings from the keeper batsman comes to an end. 7 for Mehidy Hasan now!
Devendra Bishooc Shadman Islam b Mehidy Hasan 1 10 0 0 10
29.4
M Hasan to Bishoo, OUT! What a catch! It stuck but still it is a good catch! A bit on the shorter side outside off, Bishoo goes to cut it but checks his shot a bit at the last moment as the ball arrives late. Reaches for it eventually and then ends up giving it to Shadman Islam at silly point. The ball hits his chest and then the debutant manages to grab it. What a debut he is having! Also, this is the sixth fifer for Mehidy Hasan in Tests. The carnage continues in Mirpur.
Kemar Roachc Liton Das b Mehidy Hasan 1 5 0 0 20
31.3
M Hasan to Roach, OUT! Roach holes out! Can't blame him. You don't expect a lot from a lower order batsman when your main batsmen have not shown any application and temperament. Mehidy bowls a loopy one on middle, Kemar tries to slog it across the line but gets a top edge. Liton Das settles underneath it at long on and takes the skier safely. Hasan gets his sixth, can he take 8 just like Yasir did a few days ago?
Jomel Warricannot out 5 8 0 0 62.5
Sherman Lewislbw b Shakib Al Hasan 0 5 0 0 0
36.4
Al Hasan to Lewis, OUT! Lewis is plumb in front! All over for Windies, shot out for 111! Shakib cleverly slips in an arm ball around off. Lewis has no idea about the variation. He gets forward in defense, looking out for the away spin but it skids through and hits him on the pads. They appeal and the finger goes up immediately. Sherman takes the DRS, just for the formality. The Ball Tracker shows three reds. Done and dusted inside 37 overs.

Kraigg Brathwaite (C)lbw b Shakib Al Hasan 1 4 0 0 25
0.5
Al Hasan to Brathwaite, OUT! Oh dear! Shakib gets his counterpart once again. What is even happening? Fuller arm ball on off, skids inside. Kraigg shuffles across and looks to flick it away. Misses it completely and gets caught in front on his back leg. Shakib appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Brathwaite doesn't even bother reviewing it as he knows he is plumb. Now then, the replays later on show us that there might have been a faint inside edge before the ball hit the pads. How did Kraigg not know? The bat was too close to the ground. He perhaps thought it must have hit the turf.
Kieran Powellst Mushfiqur Rahim b Mehidy Hasan 6 10 0 0 60
3.6
M Hasan to Powell, OUT! Stumped! This is inexplicable. Powell decided very early that he will use his feet. Maybe, the last ball was playing in his mind. Maybe, he didn't want to get caught napping inside the crease and get out either bowled or lbw. So, what does he do? He dances down the track even before the bowler has released the ball. All too easy for Mehidy. He bowls it wide outside off, Powell is already down the track and has no other option but to try and play at it. The ball however spins away sharply to beat his bat. An easy stumping for Rahim. Kieran will have to give a lot of explanation for this shot selection. If I remember properly, he was stumped almost in an exact manner in the second innings of the first Test match. Not sure what they lack more, skill or temperament...
Shai Hopec Shakib Al Hasan b Mehidy Hasan 25 75 0 0 33.33
27.4
M Hasan to Hope, OUT! Goodness gracious me. Shai Hope did all the hard work and has now thrown his wicket away. Mehidy drops it short around off, Hope gets back inside the crease with the pull shot and doesn't bother to keep it down. Maybe, he just wanted to play it wide of the short mid-wicket fielder. He did that successfully but there is a mid-wicket fielder present too. Shakib moves across to his left and grabs the catch with ease. The partnership which was blossoming is nipped in the bud. Mehidy is up and running in celebration. His 9th wicket in the match now.
Sunil Ambrislbw b Taijul Islam 4 20 0 0 20
10.2
T Islam to Ambris, OUT! Ambris is a sitting duck there. Taijul needed just two balls to strike. He dishes out a well-disguised arm ball. Lands it around off and it skids off the surface. Ambris decides to stay inside the crease and play it across the line. But it stays low and strikes him low on the pads. They appeal and the umpire is in agreement. Ambris takes the help of the technology but nothing can be done there. You cannot be more plumb than this. No inside edge either to save you. Wicket number 3 goes down.
Roston Chasec Mominul Haque b Taijul Islam 3 9 0 0 33.33
12.4
Taijul Islam to R Chase, OUT! Chase doesn't want to fight either. He's considered to be the best batsman against spinners in this Windies line-up. Disappointing. A tossed up delivery outside off, full in length and turning away. Chase with a sorry footwork goes for a drive and hits it aerially to covers. Mominul takes a good low catch. His front foot never came forward to the pitch of the delivery. Four down already, this is the repeat telecast of last evening.
Shimron Hetmyerc Mohammad Mithun b Mehidy Hasan 93 92 1 9 101.09
45.2
M Hasan to Hetmyer, OUT! Hetmyer holes out! Once again tries to go downtown and clear the fence but this time he mistimes his shot in the air. Fails to get underneath the ball and it skies up in the air at long off. Mithun makes no mistake in the deep and Mehidy is ecstatic. Points at his skipper, maybe telling him that's why he wanted a fielder there in the deep. Hetmyer departs, 7 runs short of his maiden Test hundred. He should be disappointed but it was an entertaining knock to say the least.
Shane Dowrich (W)c Soumya Sarkar b Naeem Hasan 3 18 0 0 16.67
32.2
N Hasan to Dowrich, OUT! Big blow to Windies. Dowrich is caught at first slip. Naeem serves a flighted delivery around off from 'round the wicket, Shane tries to flick it across the line with the spin but it doesn't spin back in much and takes the outside edge on its way to Soumya Sarkar. A good low catch by him. Into the tail now, Bangladesh.
Devendra Bishooc Soumya Sarkar b Mehidy Hasan 12 31 0 0 38.71
41.4
M Hasan to D Bishoo, OUT! Great reflex catch at first slip and Mehidy gets his 10-wicket haul in the match. This is the second time he has achieved this feat in Tests. Wow. Hasan dishes out a short delivery outside off and seeing that Bishoo goes on the back foot to play the square cut. But it takes the outside edge of his bat and Sarkar hangs on to a sharp catch over his head. In the first innings also, Bishoo tried to cut and was caught brilliantly at silly point. So two great catches to dismiss Bishoo twice in a day.

47.3
Hasan to Warrican, OUT! You cannot keep Mehidy Hasan out of action in this Test match! Another 5-wicket haul in this match. Loopy ball in line of the stumps, Jomel just chips it back to Hasan who takes the simplest of catches. Catching practice, literally. Nine down now and Sherman Lewis is the last man in.
Sherman Lewislbw b Taijul Islam 20 43 2 0 46.51

T Islam to Lewis, OUT! BANGLADESH WIN BY AN INNINGS AND 184 RUNS! A nicely tossed up delivery, landing around leg and straightening from there. Lewis tries to flick but misses and is rapped on the pads. They appeal and the umpire nods before raising his finger. The number 11 reviews it but the Ball Tracker shows three reds. Impact in line and it's hitting middle and leg. Bangladesh can continue with their celebration. Their first ever win by an innings! Historic day.
