"Vinaash kaale vipreet buddhi," goes the saying. The rough English translation of that would be, "In destructive times, intelligence deserts you." The saying would have been apt for Vinod Kambli, except for the fact that his "vinaash kaal" and "vipreet buddhi" have been his closest buddies for as long as one can remember.
