Former India off-spinner Arshad Ayub says that the wickets should have help for both batsmen and bowlers for cricket to be a balanced game. He has urged the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to make pitches in such a way that the bowlers too have a chance.

During the recent India-Australia One-Day International (ODI) series, there were 300-plus totals in all the games and it is quite a worrying sign for the bowlers. The batsmen completely dominated the series. On two occasions, India chased down 350-plus totals and made it look very easy. During the seventh ODI at Bangalore, Australia too gave India a scare while they were in pursuit of 384.
