Kevin Pietersen in a rare press conference he gave before playing his 100th Test match at the Gabba, Brisbane said that when he retires from the game, he would look back at playing his 100th Test as a great achievement. But at present, the main focus is on winning the Ashes series.

He talked about the tough battles he had to face, while he came from South Africa to England and how he needed to be full of confidence to overcome those challenges. He added that if people look at it being arrogant he can’t help it.

Pietersen also spoke about the Twitter row he had with a few Australian journalists over the comment, ‘so arrogant not even his own team likes him’.
