Shane Watson, accompanied by his wife and his nine- month old son spoke to Cricket Australia TV on the eve of the Boxing Day test in Melbourne.

Shane Watson said it was the best week of his life and that he had cleared his mind, something that he said he had struggling with throughout his career.

Watson attributed Darren Lehmann in bringing the fun element in cricket, something that Watson remarked was missing from the team unit during Mickey Arthur’s regime.

He went on to say the India tour in the summer of 2013 was the lowest point in his career and regretting his form and the atmosphere in the dressing room.
