England captain Alastair Cook has said that thinking about a 5-0 result could be dangerous for his team. England lead Australia 2-0 in the current Ashes series with the third match to begin at Old Trafford on August 1.

He also said that Kevin Pietersen’s chances of playing in the third Test is “pretty good”. Cook also reiterated Pietersen’s importance to the England side.

Cook also denied to agree that England were in a comfort zone and believed that they had to really work hard to win the first two Test matches. He said that they have put themselves in a good position though.

He also praised the Old Trafford wicket, despite saying that the wicket has lost its pace in the last few years.
