Pakistan’s bowlers did a splendid job in restricting the Sri Lankan below 200 runs.
Umar Gul, Aizaz Cheema and Saeed Ajmal ran rampant as Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals. Cheema was the pick of the bowlers, taking four wickets while Ajmal took wickets.
Kumar Sangakkara was pick of the Sri Lankan batsmen to score patiently as he reached 71 from 92 balls before getting dismissed by Cheema.
Upul Tharanga supported Sangakkara for some time before getting bowled by Ajmal. He scored 57 from 74 balls.
Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene has won the toss and elected to bat first in the crucial tie.
Meanwhile Lasith Malinga returned back for Thursday's match after being ironically left out due to his tendency to concede runs against India.
