A video showing Australia coach Mickey Arthur address the media following his team’s 137-run win over Sri Lanka in the first Test at Hobart.

Arthur said that the big win was a good confidence booster for his team.

“We feel we really played good cricket over five days…I thought we bowled well today (Day Five) and really maintained the pressure. I’m happy with the way we went about it and then the confidence you get from a win like that is massive,” said Arthur.

Commenting on Mitchell Starc’s five-wicket haul in the second innings, Arthur said, “(It was an) Awesome spell right at the end. I thought he bowled fantastically; he’s just getting better and better. So, I’m really excited where he’s going to go with his career.”

This was Australia’s first Test win of the summer following their 1-0 series loss to South Africa earlier. Asked if it was worth the wait, Arthur said, “It was; I would have ideally like this to be Adelaide (where Australia drew with South Africa from a winning position) to be honest, but (I’m) very happy with the win.”
