Mitchell Starc praised the Australian bowlers after they defeated England in the second Twenty 20 international at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday by eight wickets.

Starc, making a comeback into international cricket after a long layoff, struck early in his spell as he dismissed Luke Wright for a duck.

He also heaped praise on the Australian batsmen after they chased down England’s modest 131-run target on a tricky MCG pitch and also said that his team performed excellently on the field.

The win meant that Australia had won the 3-match T20 series by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead and heaped further misery on a beleaguered England side.
