The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reprimanded all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and asked for a written explanation after his verbal spat with teammate Suresh Raina in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) match of the tri-series against the West Indies.

Jadeja had allegedly taunted Raina about losing his captaincy to Virat Kohli in MS Dhoni's absence.

According to the Indian Express, Jadeja said told Raina: “Because you've lost the captaincy, you've also lost interest in fielding?”

After the dismissal, Jadeja was seen walking up to Raina and saying something, which the Uttar Pradesh batsman didn't find amusing. Raina also replied and before things could get out of hand, Kohli and Ishant intervened and told Raina to cool down.
