India‘s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan said that the epic 352-run stand between Brendon McCullum and BJ Watling has changed the Test match at Wellington in New Zealand’s favour and maintained that it will be difficult for the Indians to defeat the home side now.

Dhawan lamented on the fact that India let both batsmen free and said that it will now be a tough but certainly not impossible task if India are to hunt down the second innings target that New Zealand posts on the fifth and final day of the match.

“There is still one more day left tomorrow. We will try our best to win but even if we lose, there’s a lot to learn from it. There is disappointment but we have played some good cricket, especially getting them out for a low score in the first innings,” Dhawan said after the day’s play.
