The Perth Scorchers face Auckland Aces in the penultimate Group on Monday in their Group A match of the Champions League Twenty20 2012 at Centurion.
The Scorchers are almost out of the tournament with just two points. Even if they win they need to await for the result of the last match between Delhi Daredevils and Titans, for a place in the semi-finals.
Pressure will also be on the Auckland Aces for sure. Historically, teams have shown they can be very dangerous opponents when they have nothing at stake and come out and enjoy themselves. The Aces will have to overcome the threat of the Perth Scorchers who've got nothing but pride to play for. Secondly, there’s the big semi-final place at stake, and the Aces will be keen to do everything in their power to confirm their progression to the knockouts.
