Cricket Australia CEO James Sutherland announced that it will increase the financial support to the international and domestic competitions for women. This was done to recognize the role of women in helping cricket to be Australia’s favourite game.

The increase for the top contracted women’s cricketers will be about $ 25,000-52,000 per year. The daily tour payment will increase from $100 to $250. Australian women’s team will be on tour for about 85 days in this year; the top cricketers will earn between $70,000-80,000.
