Finn, who picked up three wickets in the econd innings to help England restrict India to 239 for nine at stumps, said that the hosts' lead of 32 runs is thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin's defiant knock of 83 not out.

"Ashwin played very well. That resistance came with good batting. He played the reverse-sweep well, he was patient, took his runs when he needed to. And put in the man at the other end, and he was supported well. It was good batting, it was good Test cricket. A great day of Test cricket," he said.

Finn also said that he was not surprised by England's dominance over India in the last two Tests. "We felt as a team it's been coming almost," he said.
