For the second day in a row the warm-up match between England vs Australia A at Hobart was abandoned due to heavy rain. The square and run-ups are firmly now under covers. Unfortunately, the forecast doesn't look  better for tomorrow either at Hobart.

Earlier on Day 1 Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to bat first. Ashes hopeful Michael Carberry, who had scored a quick-fire 78 off 100 balls in the first tour match, played a calm knock with captain Cook. The duo looked unruffled against Australia A bowlers and both scored centuries. Provided any play happens on the final day, England will resuume on 318 for no loss.
