India's under-19 captain Unmukt Chand, who led his side to World Cup glory, said in Mumbai that right now he is concentrating on his game and wants to do well for India A in the next tournament.

 

Speaking about the session with master blaster Sachin Tendulkar before the tournament, he said that his suggestions proved to be very useful for the team.

 

U-19 coach Bharath Arun was proud of his boy’s performance and said that to play in the senior team would be a big challenge for them.

 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) felicitated each member of the team for its victory.

 

The Indian cricket board on Tuesday felicitated the triumphant Indian Under- 19 World Cup winning team at a suburban hotel after their arrival in the afternoon and the players were awarded a cheque of Rs 20 lakh each by the BCCI.

 

The team management and support staff, who were given Rs 15 lakh each, along with chief selector Abey Kuruvilla were also honoured at the function.
