A video of former pace spearhead Matthew Hoggard wishing the England team ahead of their campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which begins on February 14. England will take on their arch-rivals Australia in their opening match, at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on the same day.

Despite hosting the World Cup tournaments as many as four times, England have never tasted success and the only World Cup trophy that they have in their cabinet is the ICC World T20 2010, which they won under the captaincy of Paul Collingwood.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, England are placed in an extremely tough group which consists the co-hosts of the tournament, Australia and New Zealand. The Pool A also consists the runners-up of the last time, Sri Lanka. The other teams are Bangladesh, Scotland and Afghanistan.

According to AFP,  England certainly won’t be among the favourites in Australia and New Zealand, where they will have to conquer longstanding problems of a lack of penetration with the ball and an inability to up the run-rate in the final stages of an innings if they are to beat the world’s top one-day sides repeatedly.
