Post her team’s sixth defeat on the trot, Sri Lanka captain Inoka Ranaweera said that she was thoroughly disappointed with her team’s performance. They couldn’t do well as a unit, which has led to the team’s downfall. She said that even after winning the toss and electing to bat first against South Africa, the batters couldn’t put up a challenging total on the board, which resulted in them losing the match. She put emphasize on her team’s last match against Pakistan and said that it is going to be very important game as a loss against Pakistan will affect their rankings. Ranaweera also said that playing in English conditions and performing in all three departments were the biggest positives she would like to take from this tournament.
