India‘s opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has said that India will try to hunt down whatever total New Zealand set them in the fifth and final day of the second Test match at Wellington.

New Zealand who looked down and out of the match were rescued by Brendon McCullum (281*) and BJ Watling (124) who ensured that the home side turned the match on its head.

“On the first two days we dominated the match. Today it was a totally different day and it was a long day for all of us. In the morning, we came with the mindset that we will get them out and then bat to chase down whatever runs are needed. But it didn’t go our way. We have to take it in our stride and see what happens tomorrow,” Dhawan said.
