Manoj Tiwary, the India and Kolkata Knight Riders batsman has married his long-time girlfriend Sushmita Roy. The 27-year old is currently ruled out of cricket due to a knee injury and that will take time to recover.
In an interview to Times of India last year, Tiwary had revealed about their first meet. "Our first date was at a small cafe in Howrah. For me, it was love at first sight and I proposed to her. She said yes, and well…,” recounted the batsman.
While Tiwary hails from West Bengal, Sushmita belongs to a Brahmin family from Uttar Pradesh. A year ago Tiwary had confirmed that they would be marrying according to Bengali tradition and also by the rituals followed by the bride’s family.
