Michael Hussey chats after Australia claim a 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka in the final Test at the SCG.

Making his debut in 2004, Hussey became the engine of Australia’s middle order and served his side with 6183 runs in 78 Test matches at an average of 51.52. Hussey has scored 19 Test centuries and three ODI centuries.

Hussey scored 27 runs in the second innings of the final Test against Sri Lanka. At the end of the match he was joined by his three children at the ground.

Hussey will be seen as one of the few players who has called time on his career on a high. He scored four Test centuries in 2012, his best being an unbeaten 150 against India in Sydney.
