A video showing Australian coach Mickey Arthur chating to Cricket Australia TV about the revamped ODI squad ahead of the first Commonwealth Bank Series match against Sri Lanka at the MCG.

After the departure of stalwarts such as Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey, it is time for the new crop of Australia players to show their worth in the ODI series coming up.

Arthur said, "I think this ODI squad we've selected is a very exciting one. We've had a hige paradism shift in Australian cricket of late. We've lost 250 Test caps — two stalwarts in Ricky Ponting and Mike Hussey — but it's really exciting because the voids and the vacuums in the team are going to be filled by some very exciting young players."

The upcoming series will see the likes of Aaron Finch, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell feature and Arthur said that the ball is in their court.
