S Sreesanth's lawyer has withdrawn his bail application and applied for a fresh application which will be heard on June 7. His lawyer was shocked at Delhi Police's decision to slap MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) on the player.

Police on Tuesday invoked the stringent MCOCA against suspended cricketer S Sreesanth and 22 others in the IPL spot-fixing scandal for which the "command" originated from underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's outfit.

Under section 3 of MCOCA, the accused face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment along with fine of Rs 5 lakh while under section 4, the jail term can go upto ten years along with fine of Rs 1 lakh and properties of the accused can also be attached.
