Former British tennis player Tim Henman who reached a career high of world No 4 in tennis rankings in the 1990s, heaped praises on Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar by saying that he is a true ambassador of the game. He said that Tendulkar had an amazing career in international cricket and was a true champion of the game.

Henman has come over to India to promote tennis and help in developing the sport by encouraging young kids to take it up professionally. The British star was known for playing well on grass courts of Wimbledon and retired from playing professional tennis in 2007.
