Former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, who has seen Sachin Tendulkar from close quarters, feels Sachin Tendulkar's retirement will be a historical moment.

Sachin announced retirement from One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in December 2012 bringing an end to a glorious carrer, one that included 49 centuries in the format. 

Tendulkar ended his career with over 460 matches, 49 centuries and over 18,000 runs.
