With Gopinath Munde's nomination for the post of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) rejected and even his appeal against that rejection dismissed, former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC) President Sharad Pawar has returned to the top MCA post unopposed.

According to MCA President Ravi Savant the National Congress Party (NCP) strongman is the next president of the board.
