The International Cricket Council (ICC) has kick-started its effort to attract fans to the World Cup 2019 with the launch of a promotional video starring Ashes hero and former England allrounder Andrew Flintoff.

In the video, Flintoff can be seen singing American rock band Imagine Dragons’ hit number ‘On top of the world’ as he is joined by ‘an all-singing, all-dancing cast of cricket fans representing all competing nations.’

Sri Lanka batting legend Kumar Sangakkara, former England women captain Charlotte Edwards, spinner Phil Tufnell and DJ Greg James also make cameo appearances.

The 2019 World Cup, to be hosted by England, starts from May 30 with final scheduled for July 14. England will face South Africa in the tournament opener at the Kennington Oval in London. 10 teams will vie for the coveted trophy across 15 days with Australia aiming to defend their title.
