New Zealand all-rounder George Worker says that he is pleased to have played his first international game for The Black Caps. Worker played in the one-off T20I against Zimbabwe at Harare and scored a 49-ball 62 to become only the fourth New Zealand batsman to score a half-century in his T20I debut. Worker came into bat when New Zealand were 26 for 1 in the fourth over and ensured that his innings was good enough to give New Zealand a fighting total. The Kiwis eventually won the match by a whooping 80 runs and Worker walked away with the man of the match as well. He is now included in the squad for South Africa, where New Zealand will play two T20Is and three One-Day Internationals (ODI). Worker said he was nervous when he had come out to bat, but after a few dot balls he managed to get some away, which did his confidence a world of good. Worker says that he wishes to carry on the momentum from the match and take it to South Africa where the conditions will be slightly different from Zimbabwe. Worker is also a slow left arm, who has picked up 15 wickets in the T20 matches. READ: Zimbabwe vs New Zealand, one-off T20I at Harare: George Worker’s 62 and other Highlights
