Of England‘s few great batsmen till date, Moeen Ali is one such batsman who has eventually evolved into a perfect batsmen in almost all formats of the game and has most likely become Mr. dependable, Mr. Reliable or Mr. Perfect for England. He is eventually turning into a great cricketer with each passing day and his batting technique along with classic style of gameplay makes him a player to watch batting. However, of late, New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has suggested that Moeen Ali will be a good option to open the batting alongside skipper Alastair Cook in England‘s upcoming three-match Test series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to the Guardian, McCullum said that if he would have given an option to choose, then he would put Moeen up for the series in the UAE and move him down for the South Africa series. Meanwhile, the 33-year-old described Alex Hales as England’s ‘excellent selection’, adding that he could provide the perfect attacking foil to Cook. With his quick eye, wonderful wrists, willingness to learn and improve and exceptional temperament, this young man of Pakistani origins is one of the brighter prospects of the England side. The series against Sri Lanka was his debut series in which he eventually slammed a ton in the second Test.
