Sachin Tendulkar was in flowing form during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003. He came good in the IndiaPakistan tie, scoring a fluent 98 of only 75 deliveries, setting up an easy win for India after Pakistan posted 273 in the first innings.

Saeed Anwar scored 101 in the first innings, helping Pakistan to a healthy first innings score, but after Tendulkar’s innings India’s chase wasn’t too much of a struggle. India finished as first runner-ups in the competition and Sachin was awarded Man of the Series.

Tendulkar finished with 673 run in the series at an astounding average of 61.18. He ended with just one century in the tournament but got 6 half-centuries; most of them being big ones.
