Indian batsman VVS Laxman who played for India for the last 16 years has announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect.

 

The Hyderabadi lad was picked for the tour of New Zealand too has regretted his unavailability.

 

VVS said this was a well thought act. He had a tough time.

 

VVS informed the selectors and BCCI about his decision this morning.
